The week I am writing this post the weather is mild and I’m confident stepping outside withouht a coat whereas last week I wouldn’t of dreamt leaving the house without layering up! This time of year can be tricky for knowing what to wear, judging the constantly unpredictable temperatures outside becomes a real challenge when putting together an outfit.
The inspiration behind this post come from a dress I bought from the Loved & Found section in John Lewis and Partners. The blue smock daisy print dress by the brand Y.A.S has the ability to be styled for multiple seasons due to its colour, print and style, making it perfect to wear now.

Here I have pair the dress with sheer tights and patent boots for days that are maybe a little cooler, I love a patent shoe to add a contrasting texture especially against a soft floaty fabric.

Although by nature smock dresses are free flowing and without shape, I decided to add a belt to add a waist and break up the print slightly.

Although this look might be slightly optimistic for current weather, it just shows how versatile and easy this dress is to style into different seasons and who knows I could be strutting around in this amusable sooner than you think!

Keeping the belt for the shape I switched the tights for bare legs and added white Superga's making this outfit a comfy casual daytime look, swap the trainers for block heel to take this into an evening look. The straw bag adds to the retro 60s feel to the dress whilst the shape is current and on trend.
